V-Cide is a liquid chemical sterilant solution for use in
chemical vapor sterilizers.

Intended Use:
V-Cide is a sterilant solution designed for use in
chemical vapor sterilizers including the Harvey®
Chemiclave®. Chemical vapor sterilizers are
designed and validated to ensure sterilization
using only this special solution.

Product Specifications:
Active Ingredient: Formaldehyde, 0.23%;
Ethanol, 57.02%.
Solution Color: Clear.
Odor: Alcohol odor.
Shelf Life: 2 years.

Product Capabilities:
V-Cide significantly reduces the risk of corrosion
and dull edges on instruments. V-Cide is safe for use
with materials recommended by manufacturers for
sterilization in chemical vapor sterilizers.

Use Precautions:
Dry instruments thoroughly before packaging and
sterilization in chemical vapor sterilizer. (Residual water
will interfere with sterilization and may contribute to
corrosion.) Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed
on the product Safety Data Sheet: wear eye protection,
chemical resistant gloves, mask and appropriate
clothing to prevent repeated or prolonged skin contact.
Avoid spilling V-Cide on exposed skin or splashing
in eyes. V-Cide is flammable and should be stored
away from sterilizers in a dry, cool area. Keep away
from open flames. Use in a well-ventilated area. When
running and opening the chemical vapor sterilizer at
end of cycle, avoid direct inhalation of vapors. Keep
the container closed between uses.
